PMWATCH/NAAJA -- July 24, 2002 -- Part and parcel of our struggle to promote the Palestinian narrative in the US mainstream media is the effort to foster and push greater presence of Arab and Muslim voices, along with voices of those who speak for justice and peace in the Middle East. Toward this goal, Palestine Media Watch (PMWATCH) is forging a working alliance with The National Arab American Journalists Association (NAAJA) to encourage the establishment of local chapters of NAAJA in all the major US cities and beyond. With PMWatch's ability to mobilize at the grassroots level and NAAJA's solid infrastructure, we hope to establish a vibrant and thriving network of journalists and writers dedicated to speaking on issues of concern to the Arab and Muslim communities in the United States.
