PMWATCH
- August 19, 2002 -- In addition to mobilizing criticism against
the media and providing the media with access to pro-Palestinian
voices, PMWatch is also always actively promoting a greater presence
of Palestinian voices in the media. Radio Intifada is such a presence
and we urge everyone to help support it.

Dear Friends
and all supporters of justice,
To those
from the Arab and Muslim American communities, I urge you to support
this program and Pacifica’s KPFK station fund drive in Los Angeles.
We shouldn't limit ourselves to criticizing the distortions of
main stream media about Arab and Islamic cultures and issues.
We must be pro-active and support alternative voices. Radio Intifada
is a genuine program that strives to bring the authentic voices
of the peoples of the regions of West/South Asia and North Africa.
And for non
Arab, non-Muslim, Americans, I urge you to strongly support this
program, which is offering a rare opportunity to learn the stories
and issues directly from people belonging to these regions and
organically connected to its progressive issues. Radio Intifada
is produced by volunteers who among them have immigrants from
the regions it is covering.
Please listen
and pledge money to help the station sustain such an alternative
quality programming. Listen to our Palestine program below and
you'll find out what we are talking about.
In solidarity,
Michel Shehadeh shehadeh@pacbell.net
